Alan purchased Tait Mobile Radio BOP in November 2008. The name was changed to Mobile Systems Limited to indicate to the market that the business is here to help you implement the best mobile communications system to meet your requirements.

Alan is dedicated to helping organisations improve safety, coordination, and performance through smart communication systems—whether in forestry, tourism, transport, or emergency response sectors.

Katrina Prier - Office Manager

Hello, my name is Katrina. I support the team by managing accounts and am available to assist with any inquiries you may have regarding account management or the process of opening a new account. As a detail-oriented individual, I take pleasure in working with numbers, and you will often find me engaged at my desk, surrounded by a stack of papers.

I thrive in a fast-paced and challenging environment. Our innovative company continually seeks cutting-edge software and tools to enhance our performance and track our successes. I relish the opportunity to learn new software and explore ways to improve existing systems. Recently, we upgraded our accounting software to a more intuitive and advanced platform.

I am deeply passionate about accounting and software development. I am committed to providing excellent customer support and enjoy problem-solving. Outside of work, I can often be found in my garden or working on new projects.

Alex Winstanley - Account Manager

Hi, I’m Alex Winstanley, and for the past 8 years, I’ve had the privilege of being part of the Mobile Systems Limited team.

What began as a role in the communications industry has grown into a genuine passion – one built around technology, people, and problem-solving.

I’m a proud mum to a little girl who keeps me on my toes and reminds me daily of the value of strong, clear communication – something that flows into every part of my work.

From UHF/VHF radios to cellular, satellite, and fleet tracking systems, I thrive on helping customers stay connected wherever their work or adventures take them.

Whether it's setting up a comms system on a remote site or guiding someone through their first radio purchase, I’m committed to delivering an exceptional experience from the very first conversation to after-sales support.

What really drives me is the connection with people. I love meeting new customers, understanding their needs, and providing solutions that make a real difference in their day-to-day operations.

Nathan Rasmussen - Account Manager

I'm a driven sales and account manager with over 10 years of experience in customer-focused sales and business development.

With a background across telco, medical devices, textiles, and many years running my own business, I bring practical insight, strong relationship skills, and a personal touch to everything I do.

I thrive on solution selling, growing client bases, and introducing new technologies that help people and businesses stay connected and perform at their best.

Whether it's solving challenges on the spot or implementing tools that improve communication, I’m focused on real results and long-term success.

Grace Fakatava - Customer Service Manager

I bring a wealth of experience to my role as Customer Service Manager at Mobile Systems, having transitioned into the Mobile Communications industry in 2021 after taking a break in healthcare. My background in healthcare provided me with a strong foundation in high-pressure environments, problem-solving, and delivering exceptional service/skills I’ve seamlessly transferred into the world of mobile communication.

Since joining Mobile Systems, I have embraced the challenges of managing and enhancing customer experiences in an industry driven by innovation and rapid change. I am passionate about ensuring our customers receive not only the best technical solutions but also the highest level of service and support. I’m dedicated to creating positive, lasting relationships with our clients and continually improving the customer journey.

With over four years of experience in the Mobile Communications sector, I am excited to continue driving excellence in customer service, supporting both our customers and our team as we grow together.

Becks Given - Customer Support

Hi, I’m Becks and I’ve recently joined the team at Mobile Systems in a Sales Support role. You’ll often find me answering the phone and making sure your call gets through to the right person.

I’m still learning the ropes, but I love being front of house and getting to meet our wonderful customers.
I’m passionate about delivering great service and always aim to make your experience with us as smooth and positive as possible.

When I’m not at work, you’ll likely find me out in the garden or keeping my almost-grown kids on their toes!

Lee Fletcher - Lead Technician

I’m Lee, the Lead Technician here at Mobile Systems. I’m a qualified electrician with over 35 years of experience working across a wide range of specialised fields. Originally from the UK, I moved to Australia about 18 years ago, then made the move to New Zealand around eight years ago — and I’ve been proud to call it home ever since.

I enjoy a challenge and love working with people. There’s nothing more satisfying to me than solving a problem that others have said couldn’t be fixed. I take pride in delivering solutions that exceed expectations.

Outside of work, I’m a proud dad to five children and a grandfather to three (so far!). Family is a big part of my life, and I bring that same care and commitment to the work I do every day.

Karl - Senior Technician

With over three years of experience in the field, Karl is a key member of our installation team. He brings strong technical knowledge and a methodical approach to every project, ensuring communication systems are installed to the highest standard. Karl’s reliability and steady presence help keep the team focused and results-driven on site.

Outside of work, Karl applies his technical interests to racing and drifting RC cars — a hobby that reflects his attention to detail and precision.

Tai Rimmer - Trainee Technician

As a Trainee Technician, I’m constantly learning on the job, eager to develop my technical skills after finishing school in 2024.

Beyond the workshop, I’m a dedicated Senior Lifeguard, heavily involved in Surf Life Saving, where I thrive in communication and emergency response.

When I’m not on duty, I enjoy experimenting with HAM Radio equipment. Whether it’s problem-solving in the field or on the beach, I’m driven by quality, hard work, dedication and a commitment to continuous learning.
