Nextivity focuses on in-building cellular coverage in key geographies with new offering.
Β
Nextivity has recently announced the availability of the 3G/4G/5G multi-carrierΒ
Cel-Fi QUATRA 4000eΒ in-building enterprise cellular coverage solution, which has been
approved for use on all major carrier networks in Asia, Europe, the U.K., and Oceania.
Β
Each Cel-Fi QUATRA Network Unit (NU) can support up to six Coverage Units (CU) and
features a built-in cellular modem for the Cel-Fi WAVE PRO Platform. Based on the Cel-Fi
QUATRA 4000, it is also the first integrated product in the market to relay TDD (Time
Division Duplex) LTE bands, according to Nextivity.
Β
The firm also highlighted that Cel-Fi QUATRA 4000e provides gain to each carrier signal
independently, enabling subscribers across all networks to have access to uninterrupted
indoor cellular coverage in hospitals, schools, shopping malls, manufacturing facilities,
office buildings, and other indoor settings instead of only those whose carrier has the
strongest signal.
Β
Cel-Fi QUATRA 4000e can be ordered, delivered, installed, and operational in a matter
of days or weeks, at a lower installed cost per square meter compared to more expensive
DAS systems that typically require between 12 and 24 months for deployment from start
to finish, Nextivity said.
Β
Cel-Fi QUATRA 4000e can also be deployed off-air or tethered to carriersβ small cells, or
it can be integrated with carriersβ small cell equipment and operated in distributed small
cell mode to create a multi-carrier Supercell. A Supercell (i.e., a large single cell versus
multiple independent small cells) provides uniform access to the capacity introduced by
the small cell to improve cellular coverage in larger or densely populated areas.
Β
Cel-Fi QUATRA 4000e is available in multiple operator variations to accommodate the
bands required for deployments in Asia, Europe, Africa, the Middle East, and Oceania.
Β
The companyβs new CEO, Michiel Lotter, recently highlighted that the firm is seeing
growth opportunities with the rapid rollout of 5G infrastructure.
Β
βOur advancements with 5G, fiber, cloud-based solutions, and public safety in the last
three years have positioned us well for the future,β added Lotter, βNextivity is an
innovation company and everything we do is centered on solving our customersβ
problems in the most innovative ways possible. This ethos will continue to drive us as
we take on the challenges and opportunities brought on by 5G rollouts. Plus, we have
several projects in development and look forward to bringing many more industry-
leading, game-changing products to market in the coming months and years.β
