RFI COL51-160-P VHF Meander Collinear Antenna, 150-160 MHz
Unity gain patented Meander PCB collinear with industry-leading PIM performance and 400W input power.
Overview
The COL51-160-P is a VHF Meander Collinear antenna covering 150-160MHz, using RFI's patented Meander PCB design that allows multiple half-wave elements to be stacked without the cable length and mechanical joint variations that typify conventional high-gain collinear construction. With dipole elements printed on a single-sided PCB, susceptibility to passive intermodulation is practically eliminated.
This range is specifically designed for wireless applications requiring high performance, broad bandwidth, and exceptional PIM and PIP specifications. The antenna is internally DC grounded for lightning protection and reduction of precipitation noise.
Key Features
- Unity gain (2.1dBi nominal) means broad, wide-angle omnidirectional coverage across the full 150-160MHz band.
- Patented Meander PCB design means optimum RF pattern stability and repeatability.
- Industry-leading PIM rating (-150dBc) means low intermodulation and low noise for optimum network performance.
- 400W input power and 25kW Peak Instantaneous Power rating means suitability for high-power multi-carrier base station deployments.
- 4.3-10 connector means a low-PIM, weatherproof termination for base station use.
Applications
- High-power VHF base station sites requiring low-PIM collinear antennas
- Sites needing broad, wide-angle coverage in the 150-160MHz band
- Multi-carrier deployments requiring consistent, repeatable RF pattern performance
- High Peak Instantaneous Power (PIP) applications

FAQs
Why choose a unity gain antenna over a higher gain model?
Unity gain antennas provide a wider vertical beamwidth, making them well suited to sites needing broad coverage or where terrain and structure heights make a narrower high-gain pattern less effective.
Is this antenna suitable for high-power multi-carrier sites?
Yes, the COL51-160-P is rated for 400W input power and 25kW Peak Instantaneous Power, making it well suited to demanding high-power VHF base station deployments.
