Proven DMR Tier 2 and Tier 3 track record
DMR trunked networks are a different scale of project to a standard conventional radio system. They need careful coverage modelling, channel and emergency-call planning, and resilient site infrastructure. Mobile Systems has hands-on experience on both sides of that: designing and installing DMR networks for clients, and directly owning and operating one ourselves.

We designed and deployed a Hytera radio solution with a point-to-point microwave link at the Willows Road site, extending coverage across the project area. In operation today and performing well.
A live, owner-operated Tier 3 network
Mobile Systems was an equal partner in, and co-operator of, one of New Zealand's first wide-area DMR Tier 3 trunked networks, still in operation today.

Including a solar-powered Hytera repeater at a Bay of Plenty quarry, and one at Hobbiton, Matamata, to extend coverage into more remote areas of the site.

Open global standard
DMR is an international open standard (ETSI) for digital radio, in service across more than 100 countries, which avoids single-vendor lock-in.
Fully licensed in New Zealand
All DMR equipment we supply is licensed and operated under Radio Spectrum Management (RSM). We manage frequency licensing as part of project scope.
Fit for safety-critical sites
A well-designed Tier 3 trunked network delivers the coverage, channel capacity, emergency-priority call handling, GPS location and resilience a safety-critical operation needs.
Delivery and support
Structured project delivery. Full system design covering coverage modelling, site and tower infrastructure, and channel and emergency planning, followed by a staged delivery plan.
