A personal locator beacon (PLB) is a one-off purchase that can save a life when you are beyond mobile coverage, at sea, in the bush, or on a remote worksite. Press the button and it transmits your GPS position to Rescue Coordination Centre NZ (RCCNZ) over the global 406 MHz network, with no subscription to pay. Mobile Systems supplies registered PLBs and emergency beacons from GME, Ocean Signal and McMurdo, plus short-term beacon hire for one-off trips. Not sure which one fits your work or your next trip?
