Motorola Two-Way Radios - New Zealand

Mobile Systems Limited supplies and configures Motorola MOTOTRBO two-way radios for businesses across New Zealand. We order every radio in once your order is confirmed, then program and set it up to match your existing channel plan before it goes out the door. Our core range covers the R2, R5 and R7 portable series, along with the DP4000e and DP2000e series and the DM4000e mobile (vehicle-mounted) radio. ATEX-certified portables are also available for hazardous environments such as mining and fuel depots, though these carry a longer lead time. As a brand-independent advisor, we'll recommend Motorola when it's genuinely the right fit for your operation, not because it's the only option on the shelf.

Motorola Portable Radios

MOTOTRBO R2, R5 and R7 Series

Our most popular Motorola portables, and the ones we order in most often for NZ businesses. The R2 is a solid everyday workhorse for teams that need clear, reliable communication without the extra features. The R5 and R7 step up with better audio performance and tougher build quality, suited to noisier sites or teams that depend on their radio every day. All three are programmed to your existing channel plan before delivery.

DP4000e and DP2000e Series

A step up again for businesses that need more channel capacity or advanced features across a larger fleet. We order these in and configure them the same way as the R-series, matched to your current radio system so new and existing units work together without a hitch.

ATEX-Certified Portables (R7Ex, DP4801 Ex, DP4401 Ex)

For hazardous environments such as mining, fuel depots and other potentially explosive atmospheres, we supply Motorola's ATEX and IECEx-certified radios. These are specialist, lower-volume items, so expect a longer lead time than our standard range. Get in touch early if you know a project will need IS-rated communication equipment.

Motorola Mobile (Vehicle-Mounted) Radios

DM4000e Series

Motorola's current mobile radio range, fitted into vehicles for fleets that need reliable in-cab communication. As with our portables, we order the DM4000e in per job and configure it to match your existing setup before installation. If you're within our Bay of Plenty, Coromandel, Rotorua, Taupō or Waikato service area, our technicians handle the fit-out. Outside that area, we work with a trusted network of installers around the country to get your vehicles fitted properly, and some customers choose to arrange their own install once the radio is configured.

Why Order Your Motorola Radio Through MSL

Built to order, not pulled off a shelf

Every Motorola radio we supply is ordered in and configured specifically for your job. That means no guessing at a generic setup. It's programmed to suit your operation from the start.

Programmed to match your existing fleet

If you're adding to an existing radio system, we'll match the new units to your current channel plan so everything works together from day one.

Installation, wherever you're based

We install directly across the Bay of Plenty, Coromandel, Rotorua, Taupō and Waikato. Outside that area, we coordinate with trusted installers nationwide, or supply a fully configured radio if you'd rather arrange your own fit-out.

Brand-independent advice

We stock and support multiple radio brands. Our recommendation is based on what suits your operation, not on what's easiest for us to sell.

Motorola Radio FAQs

How long does it take to get a Motorola radio from MSL?

Lead times are generally consistent across our core Motorola range. ATEX-certified radios take longer to source, so it's worth getting in touch early if your project needs IS-rated equipment.

Can you program a Motorola radio to match our existing channels?

Yes. We configure every Motorola radio we supply to match your existing channel plan before it leaves our workshop, so it works seamlessly alongside your current fleet.

Do you install Motorola mobile radios outside the Bay of Plenty?

Yes. We install directly within our Bay of Plenty, Coromandel, Rotorua, Taupō and Waikato service area. For customers elsewhere in New Zealand, we coordinate with trusted installers in your region, or supply a configured radio for your own installer to fit.

Do you supply ATEX-certified Motorola radios for hazardous sites?

Yes. We supply Motorola's ATEX and IECEx-certified portable radios for use in mining, fuel depots and other potentially explosive environments. These have a longer lead time than our standard range, so early enquiry is recommended.
