What Is WAVE PTX?

WAVE PTX is Motorola's broadband push-to-talk platform. Instead of transmitting over a dedicated radio frequency, it carries your voice over the same 4G LTE, 5G, or WiFi networks your phone already uses, routed through Motorola's own PTT service rather than a standard phone call.

That's what gives the TLK110 its range. A worker in Kaitaia and a supervisor in Invercargill can sit on the same talk group in real time, with no repeater network to build or maintain.
