Iridium Extreme 9575 Satellite Phone
When a call genuinely has to get through, no matter where you are on the planet, the Iridium Extreme 9575 is built for exactly that moment. It's the most rugged handset in Iridium's range, purpose-built for people working or travelling well outside normal cellular coverage: farmers, forestry crews, marine operators, expedition leaders and anyone whose job takes them off the grid.
Why It Stands Out
- True global coverage. Iridium's satellite network covers oceans, polar regions and everywhere in between, not just populated areas.
- Built-in GPS and one-touch SOS. A programmable emergency button sends your exact location to responders, turning a search into a straight rescue.
- Military-grade toughness. Rated to MIL-STD 810F and IP65, it shrugs off dust, shock and jet-water without missing a beat.
- Wi-Fi hotspot capability. Pair it with an Iridium Access Point to get basic internet access from virtually anywhere.
- Location sharing. Coordinates sync through to standard mapping tools, so family, employers or dispatch can see exactly where the phone is.
Built for the Field, Not the Office
This isn't a phone that happens to be tough. It's engineered from the ground up for the harshest conditions New Zealand can throw at it, from Southern Alps cold to Northland humidity. A diamond-tread grip keeps it secure in wet or gloved hands, and the wind-resistant microphone and built-in speakerphone keep calls clear even in a stiff coastal breeze.
Why Buy Through Mobile Systems
Mobile Systems Limited has supplied and supported satellite hardware from Mount Maunganui for over 25 years. We don't just sell the handset, we help you choose the right call plan, get it activated, and know how to use the SOS function properly before you actually need it. If a full satellite phone is more than you need for occasional use, we also offer Satellite Phone Hire by the day, week or month.
