Overview
The Tait TP9355 sits in the middle of the TP9300 range, with a display and four-key keypad for menus, channel selection and quick access to features. It runs DMR Tier 2 and Tier 3, MPT1327 and analogue FM, so it works on the network you have today and the one you move to next.
This listing is the VHF version, supplied with a helical antenna tuned for 136-151MHz. Built Tait Tough, it's rated IP65, IP67 and IP68 for dust and water and meets MIL-STD-810H.
Key Features
- Display and four-key keypad means easy menu and channel control without a full keypad, for crews who need more than push-to-talk but not text entry.
- DMR, MPT1327 and analogue FM means it runs alongside your existing radios while you move to digital, for fleets that can't switch everything at once.
- IP65, IP67 and IP68 rated means rain, mud and dust don't stop it, for construction, forestry and civil crews working outdoors.
- MIL-STD-810H tested means it's built to take drops, vibration and temperature extremes, for anyone hard on their gear.
- Man Down, Lone Worker and emergency key means help can be raised fast, for staff working alone or in hazardous areas.
- GPS and Bluetooth means location reporting and wireless audio accessories, for fleet managers and hands-free users.
- Band-tuned helical antenna means strong performance across 136-151MHz, for fleets whose channels sit in that range.

Frequently Asked Questions: Tait TP9355
Is the Tait TP9355 waterproof?
The TP9355 is rated IP65, IP67 and IP68 for dust and water, and meets MIL-STD-810H for shock, vibration, rain and temperature. It's built to keep working on wet, dusty NZ worksites.
Do I need a licence to use the TP9355 in New Zealand?
The TP9355 works on licensed land mobile frequencies, so you need a radio licence from Radio Spectrum Management (RSM). We handle licensing and channel programming for you.
How long does the TP9355 battery last?
TP9355 battery life depends on the battery fitted, how much you transmit and whether you run digital or analogue. This listing ships with the 3300mAh high-capacity battery, and digital mode generally runs longer on the same battery. Talk to us about the right setup for your shift length.
Who is the TP9355 for?
The TP9355 suits crew leaders, construction, transport and security teams who want a display and simple menu control. For direct dialling and text entry, step up to the TP9360. For push-to-talk only, the TP9310 keeps it simple.
What's the difference between the TP9355 and the TP9360?
The TP9355 has a four-key keypad for menus and channel selection. The TP9360 adds a full 16-key keypad for direct dialling and text entry. Both share the same batteries, chargers and audio accessories.
Is the TP9355 digital or analogue?
The TP9355 supports DMR Tier 2 and Tier 3, MPT1327 and analogue FM, so it can run alongside older analogue radios while you move to digital.
Does the TP9355 come with a charger?
The TP9355 doesn't include a charger. Add the single bay charger or the 6 bay charger for a team.
