Fleetview 360 degree Safety - Port of Tauranga Case Study

Port of Tauranga is New Zealand's largest and fastest-growing port, handling around a third of the country's cargo and close to half of all shipping containers.

Category: Port · Solution supplied by: Viewtech / Fleetview

The Project

The port needed a proven blind-spot camera system for its straddle carrier fleet, working safely around ship-to-shore cranes and container rows. After a trial phase run in consultation with the port's Straddle Workshop Manager, Viewtech's Fleetview cameras were rolled out across the entire straddle fleet.

Operators reported clearer visibility reversing under cranes and moving between container rows, and the port's Straddle Yard & Operations Supervisor called Viewtech "the obvious choice of partner" after seeing the system succeed at a comparable port.

This project was designed, supplied and supported by Viewtech, not Mobile Systems Limited. Read the full case study on Viewtech's site: fleetview.co.nz/port-of-tauranga.
