Printed circuit boards are populated on a surface mount technology line (GME upgraded to a new Yamaha SMT line in 2019 to lift output capacity), then larger components get hand-placed by production staff in what GME calls the top-load area. From there, the finished board is mechanically mated with the radio's chassis and run through a full test regime before it ever reaches a warehouse shelf.

GME also runs a rapid prototyping facility at Winston Hills, with CNC milling and lathe machines, an injection moulding machine, two 3D printers, a PCB laser machine and an optical measuring machine.
