Full HD 60fps Dashcam, Front Only or Front and Rear
Smooth 60fps Full HD footage, built-in GPS and Wi-Fi, and a hardwiring kit in the box for parking mode.
Our pick: the 2 Channel (Front + Rear) with 128GB card. Rear-end and car park knocks happen behind you, where a front-only camera can't see, and 128GB suits most daily drivers. Go 256GB if the vehicle runs long shifts or you want more footage kept before the card loops.
Overview
The BlackVue DR770X records Full HD 1080p at 60 frames per second from the front camera, using a Sony STARVIS sensor built for low light. The 2 Channel version adds a Full HD rear camera at 30fps. Built-in GPS logs speed and location against your footage, and built-in Wi-Fi lets you view and download video straight to your phone through the BlackVue app.
It runs on 12V or 24V, so the same unit suits cars, utes, vans and trucks. A hardwiring kit ships in the box, which means parking mode works without buying extra cables.
Key Features
- Full HD at 60fps (front) means smoother footage and less motion blur, which helps when you need to read a number plate on a moving vehicle.
- Sony STARVIS image sensors mean clearer night-time and low-light footage for early starts and late finishes on rural roads.
- Built-in GPS means speed and location are logged with every clip, useful evidence for insurers and fleet managers.
- Built-in Wi-Fi and the BlackVue app means you can check and download footage on your phone without pulling the memory card.
- Parking mode with hardwiring kit included means the camera can record impacts and motion while the vehicle is parked, with built-in voltage cut-off to help protect the vehicle battery.
- 12V to 24V input means one dashcam model across a mixed fleet of cars, utes and heavy vehicles.
- Super capacitor instead of a battery means better tolerance of hot cabins, with an operating range of -20°C to 80°C.
- BlackVue Cloud ready means live view and remote alerts are available later by adding an internet connection (Wi-Fi hotspot or optional LTE module).

FAQs
Does the BlackVue DR770X record while the vehicle is parked?
Yes, the DR770X records in parking mode when it is hardwired to a constant power supply, and the hardwiring kit is included in the box. It wakes to record impacts and motion, and the built-in voltage cut-off helps stop it flattening the vehicle battery.
Should I choose the 1 Channel or 2 Channel DR770X?
The 2 Channel DR770X records the front and rear at the same time, which covers rear-end collisions and car park knocks. The 1 Channel records the front only, and the front camera has a port so a rear camera can be added later.
Is 128GB or 256GB the right memory size?
The 128GB card suits most daily drivers, while 256GB holds roughly twice as much footage before the oldest clips are looped over. Choose 256GB for long shifts, 2 Channel recording, or when footage may not be reviewed for a few days.
Will the DR770X cope with a hot cab in summer?
The DR770X uses a super capacitor rather than a lithium battery and is rated to operate from -20°C to 80°C, with an automatic high-temperature cut-off. Parking in shade and using a sunshade still helps on the hottest days.
Does the DR770X work in trucks and 24V vehicles?
Yes, the DR770X accepts 12V to 24V DC input, so it suits cars, utes, vans and heavy vehicles. For long trucks and trailers, a longer rear camera cable may be needed.
Do I need a subscription to use it?
No subscription is needed to record or to view footage on your phone over the camera's own Wi-Fi. Remote features such as live view and push alerts use BlackVue Cloud and need an internet connection for the camera, so check BlackVue's current Cloud plan options before relying on them.
