Two 5W IP67 UHF CB Walkie Talkies, One Case, Ready to Talk
Our recommendation: for any two-person crew, this twin pack is better value than two single kits. You get two fully kitted radios, one dual charger and a carry case to keep it all together. Choose black, or Blaze Orange or Yellow if you want radios that are easy to spot on site.
Overview
How often does a job stall because two people can't reach each other? The GME TX6165TP gives you two of GME's 5 watt, IP67 rated UHF CB handhelds, each with its own speaker mic and earpiece, so a pair is set up and talking straight out of the case.
Each radio covers all 80 UHF CB channels with 5/1 watt switchable power, runs up to 30 hours on its 2600mAh battery, and adds a 2 watt speaker, VOX hands-free and a built-in LED torch. A dual desktop charger and 12V vehicle charger lead keep both radios topped up at the base and on the road.
Key Features
- Two complete radio kits in one case means one purchase sets up a whole pair, for farm owners, site supervisors and touring couples who need radios that work together from day one.
- 5/1 watt switchable power means maximum legal UHF CB range when you need it and longer battery life when you don't, for crews spread across farms, forestry blocks and civil sites.
- IP67 dust and water protection means rain, mud and a dunking won't take them out, for anyone working outdoors in Bay of Plenty weather.
- MIL-STD-810G rating means they are built to take knocks and drops, for site crews who are hard on their gear.
- Up to 30 hours battery life means a full shift and more on one charge, for long days on the tools or multi-day trips off-grid.
- Dual desktop rapid charger means both radios charge overnight from one power point, for small teams who don't want a tangle of chargers.
- 2 watt front-facing speaker means calls cut through machinery noise, for operators on busy sites and in vehicles.
- Dual Watch, Triple Watch and Priority Channel means you can monitor the working channel and the emergency channel at once, for convoy leaders and site supervisors.

Frequently Asked Questions
Are the TX6165TP radios waterproof?
The TX6165TP radios are IP67 rated, which means they are dust-tight and can survive temporary immersion in water. They also carry a MIL-STD-810G durability rating, so they suit wet, dusty and rough worksites.
Do I need a licence to use the GME TX6165TP?
You don't need to apply for your own licence to use the TX6165TP. UHF CB in New Zealand is covered by a general user radio licence, so anyone can use the CB channels as long as the radios are NZ compliant, which the units we supply are.
How long do the TX6165TP batteries last?
Each TX6165TP battery lasts up to 30 hours from its 2600mAh Li-Ion pack. Real-world life depends on how much you transmit and whether you run 5 watt or 1 watt power, so heavy users often add a spare BP026.
Who is the TX6165TP twin pack best suited to?
The TX6165TP twin pack suits anyone who needs two radios that work together straight away, such as two-person trade crews, farmers, spotters and touring couples. If you only need one radio, the single TX6165 kit is the better buy.
Can I charge both radios at once?
You can charge both TX6165TP radios at once on the included BCD021 dual desktop charger. The included BCV007 lead also lets you charge from a 12V vehicle socket.
What is the difference between the TX6165TP and two TX6165 kits?
The TX6165TP gives you the same two radios, speaker mics and earpieces as two TX6165 kits, but with one dual charger and one vehicle charger lead instead of two of each, plus a carry case. It also comes in Blaze Orange and Yellow, which the single TX6165 kit doesn't.
