Rugged UHF/VHF DMR Handheld, With or Without GPS + Bluetooth
Overview
The Hytera HP682 is a dependable DMR handheld built for teams who need clear audio and long battery life without paying for features they won't use. It's available in either UHF (400β527MHz) or VHF (136β174MHz), and in two feature tiers: a straightforward No GPS/No Bluetooth version, or a GPS + Bluetooth version for teams wanting location tracking and wireless accessories.
Whichever band and tier you choose, you get the same rugged build: IP67 protection, MIL-STD-810G durability, and over 20 hours of battery life on a single charge.
Which Version Do You Need?
Band: match whatever your existing licence and fleet already runs. UHF and VHF radios can't talk to each other, so this isn't a preference call, it's determined by what you're already using.
GPS + Bluetooth: choose this tier if you need to track radio locations or pair wireless accessories. Stick with the standard tier if your team just needs solid voice communication.

FAQs
Is the HP682 waterproof?
It carries an IP67 rating, meaning it's dust-tight and can handle temporary submersion, well suited to rain, dust, and general trade site conditions.
Do I need a radio licence to use this?
Yes. Both the UHF and VHF versions operate on licensed frequencies, so you'll need a radio licence through Radio Spectrum Management (RSM) before use. We can talk you through what's involved.
What's the difference between the GPS + Bluetooth version and the standard version?
The GPS + Bluetooth version adds location tracking and wireless accessory pairing on top of the same core radio. If you don't need those features, the standard version covers the same band, durability, and battery life for less.
How long does the battery last?
Around 20 hours on the standard 2000mAh battery under normal use, enough to comfortably cover a full shift.
