The CommandMic is IP67 rated and can handle immersion and marine spray. The black-box RF unit is installed out of sight and isn't exposed to the elements.
Do I need a licence to use this?
Marine VHF radios in NZ generally require an appropriate maritime radio operator qualification and vessel registration, check current requirements for your situation.
How far can the black box unit be from the CommandMic?
Up to 18.3m with additional OPC-1541 cables, giving real flexibility for larger vessels or awkward helm layouts.
