Enquire About This ProductLogic Connect: Fleet, Safety and Asset Tracking Platform
One cloud-based platform to look after your people and your assets, across two-way radio, smartphone and in-vehicle cellular devices.
Overview
Logic Connect is a cloud-based SaaS platform, hosted on Microsoft Azure, that helps organisations manage health and safety risk while improving productivity across their team and their assets. It works across Land Mobile Radio, Android smartphones and in-vehicle cellular devices, so MSL can build a Logic Connect solution around the hardware a business already has, rather than forcing a single device type on the whole team.
The platform covers six areas: health and safety (lone worker and man down alerts), fleet efficiency (driver behaviour and vehicle maintenance), asset tracking (live GPS mapping), indoor location tracking (Bluetooth beacon positioning for multi-level buildings), geofencing (virtual perimeter alerts) and voice recording (call monitoring and playback). Businesses can take up one module or several, depending on what they need.
Key Features
- Lone worker check-ins with automated escalation means a missed check-in triggers an SMS or email alert to a nominated responder, with a link to the worker's location.
- Man down detection means an alert fires automatically if a radio stays horizontal beyond a set time, or if a significant impact is detected, even if the worker can't press a button themselves.
- Driver behaviour and idling reports means fleet managers can see speeding, idling time and who was driving, by driver, not just by vehicle.
- Proactive service reminders means WOF, registration, road user charges and service intervals are tracked automatically, based on kilometres travelled or hours run.
- Indoor tracking with Bluetooth beacons means large or multi-level sites, like a warehouse, hospital or construction site, get location accuracy GPS alone can't provide indoors.
- Geofencing with entry/exit alerts means dispatchers are warned the moment someone enters a restricted area, and site visits are automatically logged for reporting or billing.
- Voice recording with 90-day retention means calls on a two-way voice system can be reviewed, exported and used as an audit trail if a dispute or incident needs investigating.
Applications
- Facilities management (office blocks, malls, construction sites, ports, mines)
- Agriculture (machine operator performance, driver login by individual)
- Transport and logistics (real-time fleet GPS tracking)
- Public sector (local and central government asset and people management)
- Utilities (electricity, water, gas, telecommunications infrastructure)
- Trade services (fleet and service reminders without a dedicated fleet team)
Getting Started
Logic Connect runs as a monthly or annual subscription, connected to a compatible two-way radio, Android smartphone or in-vehicle cellular tracking unit. MSL scopes the right combination of hardware and Logic Connect modules for your fleet or site during a consultation, rather than a one-size-fits-all package.
FAQs
Do I need a Tait radio to use Logic Connect?
No. Logic Connect works across Land Mobile Radio, Android smartphones and in-vehicle cellular devices, so it can run alongside an existing radio fleet, a smartphone-based team, or a mix of both.
Can I see where a lone worker alert came from?
Yes. Every emergency or lone worker alert includes a link to the worker's location, so the nominated responder can find them immediately.
Does indoor tracking need special hardware?
Yes. Indoor location tracking uses Bluetooth beacons positioned through the building, working from an uploaded floor plan, since GPS alone isn't reliable inside large or multi-level buildings.
Can Logic Connect reduce our fuel and maintenance costs?
Yes. Idling time and driver behaviour reporting help identify where fuel is being wasted, and automated service reminders (WOF, registration, road user charges) help catch maintenance before it becomes a bigger cost.
How long are voice recordings kept?
Voice recordings are retained for 90 days, with playback and export available for investigating complaints, building an audit trail, or staff training.
