Available in 8 colours, including two hi-vis combinations, purpose-built for New Zealand arborists and tree care crews.
Overview
The Protos Integral Arborist is built for work at height, where face and hearing protection aren't optional. Both are integrated into the helmet shell itself, so there's nothing protruding to catch on branches, ropes, or gear while climbing.
It's certified to EN397 and EN12492, which embodies AS/NZ1801, and it ships fully kitted out: chin strap, hearing protection, metal visor, and Crash Absorber all included as standard, not sold separately.
Key Features
- Integral Solution design means the visor and hearing protection sit inside the helmet shell, so there's nothing to catch on branches or gear while climbing.
- Included chin strap, hearing protection, metal visor, and Crash Absorber mean an arborist is fully kitted out for work at height straight out of the box, no separate accessories to source.
- Washable KlimaAIR Set (30ยฐC) means hygiene is easy to maintain after a hard day's climbing, without replacing the whole liner.
- Chin strap guide designed not to slip under the hearing protection means noise reduction and wearing comfort stay intact even during long climbs.
- All-round cooling airflow with a ventilation gate means the head stays cool during strenuous work, while the gate doubles as an extra impact buffer before force reaches the main shell.
- EN397 and EN12492 certification, embodying AS/NZ1801, means the helmet meets the standard NZ arborists and tree care crews need for work at height.
- A serialised build date under the brim, with a 5-year service life from date of sale, means safety officers can track exactly when each helmet needs replacing.
Applications
- Arboriculture and tree care
- Rescue and work at height
- Any climbing work where face and hearing protection are both required

FAQs
Is this helmet rated for NZ arborist and tree care work?

Does it come with a chin strap, visor, and hearing protection?
Yes, unlike the base Industry model, the Arborist ships with a chin strap, metal visor, hearing protection, and a Crash Absorber all included, ready to use straight out of the box.
How long does the helmet last before it needs replacing?
Service life is 5 years from the date of sale, not the manufacture date. Each helmet has a serialised build date stamped under the brim to help track this.
