Overview
The Protos Integral Industry is built for structural, underground, and road construction, as well as canal, tunnel, and general industrial work. It's certified to AS/NZ1801-2024 and EN397 Industrial Safety Helmet standard, and it's designed to be upgraded rather than replaced: hearing protection, face shields, and lighting can all be clipped onto the same shell as the job changes.
Every helmet is serialised with a build date stamped under the brim. Service life is 5 years from the date of sale, not the date it was made, so it's worth keeping the receipt.
Key Features
- Integral Solution design means every component sits inside the helmet shell, so there's nothing to catch on scaffolding, machinery, or overhead obstacles on site.
- 3-point suspension with a shock-absorbing structure means impact force is spread and absorbed, giving builders and civil crews genuine head protection where it counts.
- Patented size adjustment and a precisely shaped inner shell means a secure, accurate fit a tradie can dial in with two fingers, no tools required.
- Active ventilation with a safety ventilation slider means the head stays cooler through long days on the tools without compromising certified protection.
- Full modular accessory compatibility means hearing protection, face shields, and lighting can be added later as the job requires, saving fleet managers from buying a new helmet every time requirements shift.
- AS/NZ1801-2024 and EN397 industrial certification means the helmet meets the standard NZ construction, civil engineering, and tunnel and channel sites require.
- A serialised build date under the brim, with a 5-year service life from date of sale means site safety officers can track exactly when each helmet needs replacing.

FAQs
Is this helmet rated for NZ construction sites?
Yes, the Protos Integral Industry is certified to AS/NZ1801-2024 and EN397 Industrial Safety Helmet standard, covering structural, civil engineering, and tunnel and channel work.
Does it come with a chin strap or hearing protection?
No, the helmet ships as the shell only. Chin straps, hearing protection, face shields, and lighting are genuine Protos accessories sold separately, and MSL doesn't currently hold them in stock, so get in touch if you need one.
How long does the helmet last before it needs replacing?
Service life is 5 years from the date of sale, not the manufacture date. Each helmet has a serialised build date stamped under the brim to help track this.
What sizes does it fit?
It's a one-size helmet, adjustable from 54cm to 62cm. Protos also makes an oversize clip and a reducing pad for larger or smaller fits, though MSL doesn't currently stock these.
Can I add ear muffs, a visor, or a light later?
Yes, the Integral Solution design means hearing protection, face shields, and lighting accessories can all be clipped onto the same shell later as the job requires.
