The RFI CD28-41-70 is a broadband VHF Mopole antenna with a genuine 3dB gain advantage over a standard 1/4-wave whip. Threaded stud mount included, cable and connector sold separately.
Overview
The RFI CD28-41-70 is a ground independent Mopole antenna covering 148–174MHz, built for vehicles and installations where a full roof ground plane isn't available or practical, gutter mounts, mirror mounts, trunk lips, and similar alternative mounting positions.
Its patented matching circuit is housed in a high-impact thermoplastic moulding, feeding a flexible, tapered 17-7PH stainless steel whip finished in black powder coat. The threaded stud mount comes pre-fitted to the whip, ready to install on thin panels or custom brackets.
The antenna is field-tuneable using RFI's supplied chart to get the best VSWR within your operating frequency, since the tuned sweet spot sits inside the broader 148–174MHz range rather than being flat across the whole band.
