Roof Rack Mount for a UHF Antenna or Flag Pole
This 304 stainless steel bracket bolts straight onto the accessory rails on most roof racks and ute canopy tracks, giving you a solid, no-drill mounting point for a UHF antenna or a flag pole. MSL designed it for Bay of Plenty tradies, farmers and fleet vehicles that need a proper place to mount an aerial or a flag without cutting into the vehicle. Add GME's MB042 fold-down antenna mount and you can drop the antenna flat for the car park or the shed, then flick it back upright in seconds.
Key Features
- 304 2B grade stainless steel construction means the bracket handles coastal Bay of Plenty weather and road grime without rusting.
- 4mm top plate with a 1.5mm mounting arm means a strong, rigid base for your antenna or flag without adding unnecessary weight.
- Bolts through existing rail holes means no drilling into your roof rack or canopy to fit it.
- Compatible with GME's MB042 fold-down antenna mount means you can lower your antenna for car parks and garages in seconds.
- Stainless steel bolts, washers and nuts supplied means everything you need to fit the bracket is in the box.
- 1.5kg all-up weight means it won't add meaningful load to your roof rack.
- Works equally well as a flag mount means one bracket covers both your comms and your flag pole needs.

We haven't got the GME MB042 fold-down antenna mount in our own catalogue yet, so there's nothing to tag here as a confirmed accessory. Get in touch and we'll order one in to pair with this bracket.
Adding an Antenna or Flag
This bracket is the mounting point, not the fold-down mechanism itself. To fit a UHF antenna or flag pole, you'll also need GME's MB042 fold-down antenna mount, which bolts to the top of this bracket and gives you the lever-locking action to raise and lower your antenna or flag. GME's own fitting instructions note the MB042 is designed for a permanent mounting point, so make sure this bracket is bolted down securely to your rack before fitting it. We don't currently stock the MB042, get in touch and we'll order one in for you.

FAQs
Will this bracket rust or corrode?
No. It's made from 304 2B grade stainless steel, so it stands up to coastal weather, road salt and general grime without corroding.
Does it fit my roof rack?
It bolts through the existing mounting holes on most accessory roof rack and ute canopy rails. If you're not sure your rack has the right hole spacing, send us a photo and we'll check before you order.
Does the GME MB042 fold-down mount come with it?
No, the bracket is sold on its own. The MB042 is an optional extra that bolts to the top of the bracket to give you the fold-down action for your antenna or flag. We don't currently stock it, but we can order one in for you.
Can I use this for a flag instead of an antenna?
Yes. Once the GME MB042 fold-down mount is fitted, it takes a standard flag pole mount just as well as a UHF antenna.
What hardware is included?
Two stainless steel bolts, washers and nuts, enough to bolt the bracket itself to your rack. You'll need your own antenna mounting hardware, or the MB042 kit for the fold-down mechanism.
