It sits between the entry level DFR3NZ and the GPS equipped DFR7NZ. If you want fixed speed and red light camera alerts baked in, step up to the DFR7NZ. If you just want strong open road range with voice alerts, the DFR6NZ is the sweet spot.

Is it legal to use a radar detector in New Zealand? Yes, radar detectors are legal to own and use in New Zealand.
Does the DFR6NZ have GPS or fixed camera locations? No, the DFR6NZ does not have built in GPS. It is tuned for NZ Redflex mobile speed cameras on the radar bands. If you need GPS and fixed/red light camera alerts, choose the DFR7NZ instead.
Will the voice alerts work through my car speakers? The voice alert plays through the detector's own built in speaker, with an ear phone jack available for motorcycle helmet speakers.
How long does it take to fit? A few minutes. It comes with a windscreen bracket and a 12V lead that plugs straight into your accessory socket.
