What the RG-EAP602 Actually Delivers
The RG-EAP602 is a high-power outdoor omnidirectional dual-band wireless access point supporting 802.11b/g/n/ac, designed for long-distance coverage in settings like farms, lifestyle blocks, rural properties, parks, and open outdoor areas where standard WiFi gear falls short.
With concurrent 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands, the access point supports dual-band dual-stream MIMO technology, providing up to 300Mbps at 2.4GHz and 867Mbps at 5GHz, for a combined throughput of up to 1167Mbps per unit. Its built-in omnidirectional high-gain antennas give solid coverage across an open area, with a genuine coverage radius of up to 300m and support for up to 164 concurrent clients.
Built for Outdoor Conditions
The RG-EAP602 uses an IP67-rated spherical enclosure, built to withstand wind erosion, rain, and high humidity, with an operating temperature range of -30°C to 65°C. That is genuinely wide enough to cover most of New Zealand's outdoor conditions without special consideration.
Two Gigabit Ethernet ports also mean the unit can directly connect a camera or cascade to a switch, useful if you are extending outdoor WiFi and CCTV coverage to the same remote point at once.
Simple Setup and Management
The RG-EAP602 supports self-organising network features, enabling auto-discovery, auto-networking, and auto-configuration of devices without needing a separate controller or internet access. Using the Ruijie mobile app, you can complete device deployment, configuration, and ongoing management of the entire network, reducing the equipment, labour, and time cost of building out a wireless network.
Management options include the mobile app, web management, the Ruijie Cloud platform, or router-based control, and the network can be shared with a third party for collaborative management if needed.
