All-Terrain UHF CB Antenna Twin Pack, 2.1 & 6.6dBi Gain
Two antennas in one package, swap whips to match the terrain.
Overview
The AE4705BTP combines two of GME's most popular heavy-duty UHF CB antennas, the AE4705 and AW4704, in one convenient package. The AE4705 gives 6.6dBi gain on a rugged heavy-duty spring base, ideal for communication across flat, open terrain.
For built-up areas or mountainous terrain, simply unscrew the AW4705 whip and replace it with the 2.1dBi gain AW4704 whip included in the pack, no extra base or cabling needed.
Key Features
- Interchangeable whips means you can switch gain to suit open or built-up terrain without buying a second setup.
- Heavy-duty spring base means it flexes and survives branch strikes and low clearances that would snap a rigid mount.
- Ground-independent design means reliable performance without needing a large metal ground plane.
- Black fibreglass radomes means a tough, weatherproof whip that holds up to UV and off-road conditions.
- Pre-terminated FME connector means straightforward installation with the included lead.
Applications
- 4WD touring and off-road setups

FAQs
Do I need any extra parts to swap whips?
No. Both whips use the same spring base and connector, so swapping between the two gain options is just a matter of unscrewing one whip and screwing on the other.
Which gain should I use where?
The 6.6dBi AE4705 whip suits flat, open terrain where you're transmitting over longer distances. The 2.1dBi AW4704 whip has a wider radiation pattern, better suited to built-up or mountainous terrain where signals bounce around obstacles.
Do I need a licence to use a UHF CB antenna like this?
UHF CB (477MHz) operates on a licence-free class licence in NZ for standard use, but always check current regulations for your specific application.
