The DX585M-IS is the top of the Entel IS range for sites where 2W transmit power is not enough. At 4W, it delivers roughly 40% more range than the 2W DT885M, which matters on large platform complexes, spread-out refinery sites, and quarries where repeater coverage does not reach every corner. The full alphanumeric keypad allows direct channel entry, zone selection and text messaging without scrolling, making it the preferred option for supervisors and safety officers who manage multiple talk groups. UL913 certified (the US IS standard) in addition to IECEx, so it also meets the certification requirements for operations with American-headquartered parent companies running US compliance standards alongside NZ site rules.
