Who This Radio Is For

The DT885M is the mid-range ATEX digital handheld for operations needing more channel capacity and on-radio visibility than the basic DT882M. Its OLED display shows channel name, signal strength and status at a glance, and 99 programmable channels across multiple zones suit sites with complex channel plans, such as oil refineries running separate talk groups for maintenance, operations and safety. Typical NZ deployments include Taranaki platform operations, dairy processing plants with classified zones, and port-side fuel handling. For marine firefighting with MED approval, see the DT885FF. Easy to use radio earset

They do what they say they do, easy to use and no extra gear. The main set is the master and needs to be used, just turn them on with charged batteries and they just work. We have tested them to about 400m but really only need them for up to about 100m max and they work really well, easy to hear everyone using them. Once they are on you just talk and listen, there are no buttons to push
We use the single ear so we can hear people not using the sets.
