Rear-connector version. This is the speaker mic supplied as standard with the Icom IC-M510E EVO.

Overview

The Icom HM-205RB is a genuine replacement speaker microphone for compatible Icom fixed-mount marine VHF radios. It has a large 45mm high sound pressure speaker built in, so incoming calls are easy to hear at the helm, and an IPX8 waterproof rating for life on an open deck.

Keep one on board as a spare, so a worn or damaged mic doesn't take the radio out of action.

Is the HM-205RB waterproof?
The HM-205RB is rated IPX8 for wet conditions. A fresh-water rinse after use in salt spray will help it last longer.

Which radios does the HM-205RB work with?
The HM-205RB fits the Icom IC-M510E EVO and IC-M605. It does not fit the IC-M423G, which uses the HM-205B.

Does the HM-205RB have a speaker in the mic?
The HM-205RB has a 45mm speaker built in, so you can hear calls right at the handset.
