Overview

The Tait TM9355 HHCH is a multi-mode mobile radio with a compact handheld control head. It runs DMR Tier 2 and Tier 3, MPT1327 trunking and analogue FM in one radio, so it works on your existing network today and moves with you to digital tomorrow.

It's designed by Tait in Christchurch and suits modern fleet vehicles, emergency response and heavy vehicles where there's no room for a dash-mounted head.

Choosing the Right Band

• UHF2, 450-520MHz (shown in the selector above) covers the upper UHF range used by many NZ business networks.
• UHF1, 400-470MHz generally suits built-up areas, plant and industrial sites.
• VHF, 136-174MHz generally carries further over open and rural country.

UHF1 and VHF are available to order. The right band depends on your RSM licence and any radios you already run, so tell us your setup and we'll configure and quote the exact model.

Licensing

The TM9355 runs on licensed business radio frequencies, so a licence from Radio Spectrum Management (RSM) is required. If you don't hold one yet, Mobile Systems can manage the application and frequency planning for you.

Installation, Programming and Support

Getting the radio body out of sight is the whole point of the HHCH, so the installation matters. Our technicians mount the body, route the control head cable, fit the antenna, speaker and power, program the radio to your fleet and test it before handover.

On-site installation and support covers the Bay of Plenty, Coromandel, Rotorua, Taupō and Waikato directly. Outside that area, we install and support through our nationwide installer network, backed by our in-house workshop in Mt Maunganui. Most fleets run the TM9355 in vehicles alongside Tait handhelds for people on foot. The Tait TP9355 shares the same multi-mode platform, so vehicles and handhelds work together on one system.
