Overview

The Tait TP9755 is the four-key model in Tait's TP9700 range. The radio hardware covers 136-870MHz, spanning VHF, UHF and 700/800MHz, and ships as a single band radio programmed to the band you need.

When your team needs to work across networks, a Dual Band or Multiband SFE key unlocks the extra bands on the same radio, with no new hardware. It runs DMR Tier 2 and Tier 3, MPT1327 and analogue FM, with Bluetooth, GPS and WiFi programming included. It's rated IP68, with IP65 protection against water jets, and tested to MIL-STD-810G.

Choose Your Configuration

Other antennas to order: Tait also builds the TP9755 with band-tuned helicals for single band VHF, such as the TPA-AN-002 (136-151MHz), TPA-AN-003 (150-162MHz), TPA-AN-032 (155-167MHz), TPA-AN-004 (162-174MHz) and TPA-AN-034 (136-174MHz), plus a 896-941MHz band option. If your UHF channels sit between 470 and 520MHz, the standard UHF whip won't cover them, so ask us for the TPA-AN-012 whip or TPA-AN-015 helical build. Get in touch and we'll quote the exact build.

Is the Tait TP9755 multiband out of the box?

The TP9755 ships as a single band radio. The hardware covers 136-870MHz, and a Dual Band or Multiband SFE key unlocks more bands on the same radio. Choose the configuration you need when ordering.

Which antenna comes with the TP9755?

The antenna depends on the configuration: the TPA-AN-051 multiband whip for VHF, Dual Band and Multiband, the TPA-AN-037 whip for UHF 380-470MHz, and the TPA-AN-028 helical for 762-870MHz. Band-tuned helicals are available to order.

Do I need the DMR Trunking (TPAS080) option?

You need the DMR Trunking option if your radios will run on a DMR Tier 3 trunked network. For conventional DMR, MPT1327 or analogue channels, choose None. If you're not sure, tell us about your network and we'll confirm.

Is the Tait TP9755 waterproof?

The TP9755 is rated IP68 for dust and water, with IP65 protection against water jets, and is tested to MIL-STD-810G. It's built for wet, dusty NZ worksites.

Do I need a licence to use the TP9755 in New Zealand?

The TP9755 works on licensed land mobile frequencies, so you need a radio licence from Radio Spectrum Management (RSM) for each band you use. We handle licensing and channel programming for you.

How long does the TP9755 battery last?

TP9755 battery life depends on how much you transmit, which mode you run and features like Bluetooth and WiFi. It ships with a 3300mAh high-capacity Li-Ion battery. Talk to us about the right setup and a spare for long shifts.

Who is the TP9755 for?

Does the TP9755 come with a charger?

The TP9755 doesn't include a charger. It uses the same batteries, chargers and audio accessories as other TP9000 radios. Add the single bay charger or the 6 bay charger for a team.
