Times Microwave LMR-400 Low Loss Coaxial Cable, 50 Ohm
Genuine Times Microwave LMR-400, sold per metre. Set the quantity to the number of metres you need.
Overview
Is your feeder run long enough that every decibel counts? LMR-400 is the industry's benchmark low loss cable, losing just 8.9dB per 100m at 450MHz. That's less than a third of RG223's loss over the same distance.
Times Microwave designed it as a drop-in replacement for RG-8 class cable. It's the standard choice for mast and building feeder runs, repeater sites and long antenna leads.
Key Features
- Low loss means more of your transmit power reaches the antenna, and more of the received signal reaches the radio.
- Bonded aluminium tape plus tinned copper braid means shielding over 90dB.
- Solid copper-clad aluminium centre conductor means stable performance on fixed runs.
- Black PE outdoor jacket means it's suited to external mast and building runs.
- Rated to 16kW peak power means plenty of headroom for radio and repeater use.
Applications
- Mast and tower feeder runs
- Repeater and base station sites
- Long antenna leads from vehicles or buildings
- Cellular, Wi-Fi and GPS antenna runs

FAQs
How do I order the length I need?
Set the quantity to the number of metres. A quantity of 25 is a continuous 25m length.
Should I use LMR-400 or LMR-400-UF?
Use LMR-400 for fixed runs, where it gives the lowest loss. Use LMR-400-UF where the cable will flex repeatedly, such as jumpers and moving equipment.
Should I use LMR-400 or PTL-240?
PTL-240 is smaller and easier to route on shorter runs. LMR-400 loses far less signal, so it's the better choice for longer runs and mast feeders.
Can you make up a custom cable for me?
Yes, custom cables are a specialty of ours. Tell us the length and connectors, and our workshop will make it up and test it before it ships.
Can you install it for me?
Yes. Our Bay of Plenty technicians can supply, terminate and install the full run. Outside the region, we work with partner installers.
