The TP9800 is fitted with a 3W speaker and dual-microphone active noise cancellation, filtering out distracting background noise, machinery on a construction site or howling wind during a storm, whether running in analogue or digital mode.
A high-capacity 3.3Ah lithium-ion battery delivers roughly 19 hours of operation in a typical duty cycle, comfortably covering a full shift with margin to spare. At 324g with the slimline battery or 382g with the high-capacity option, it's among the lightest P25 multiband portables available, a genuine factor when a radio is worn for an entire shift.
