Overview

Every Icom Wi-Fi radio system needs a controller, and the IP1100CV is Icom's current one. It sits on your network, registers every radio, and routes individual, group and all-call traffic through your Wi-Fi access points.

Does the IP1100CV come with a power supply?
The IP1100CV does not come with a power supply. The Icom BC-207S AC adaptor is ordered separately, and we can supply it with your controller.

How many radios can the IP1100CV run?
The IP1100CV can register up to 300 Wi-Fi radios, including IP100FS dispatch PCs, with up to 500 call addresses for individual and group calls.

Will it run my existing IP100H radios?
Yes, the IP1100CV runs both IP110H and IP100H radios, so existing IP100H fleets can move onto it and add new IP110H radios over time.

Do I need a radio licence?
You don't need an individual radio licence. The system runs over standard Wi-Fi frequencies on your own network, with no annual licence fee or call charges.

Can I use my existing access points?
In many cases you can use your existing access points. The system works with third-party access points, including Ubiquiti, as well as Icom's AP-95M. We'll check your coverage before you commit.

Can it link more than one site?
It can link multiple sites over a secure VPN, either to another IP1100CV or to a VE-PG4 gateway, so staff at different sites talk as if they were in one building.
